We are now ready to scale up our marketing operations and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and operations as we scale up and enter new markets.

Your role

Over the last 3 years we have helped thousands of people move and settle into a new country. We’ve scaled across 7 countries and are proud of an average NPS of 9,1 across the board. The majority of our clients however have come through inbound and with little marketing efforts. In order to continue on our trajectory to increase the positive impact we make with the Settly platform, we’re ready to grow our marketing department and scale up our marketing efforts. In this unique and newly created role you'll be reporting to the CMO and be a key member of our leadership team. You will furthermore work closely with our heads of Sales and Partnerships to grow our business. You’ll be responsible for building the marketing strategy and roadmap and implementing it across the company and markets. You will grow your current team (2 FTE) by 3x the coming year and together will tell and broadcast the Settly story.

The biggest challenge in this role? We are bootstrapped, value driven and ambitious. So we have to be lean and creative in everything we do. We are looking for people with an entrepreneurial mindset and a sense of ownership in running our company like it is your own. We want to grow fast and scale across multiple countries whilst maintaining a value driven brand experience. Are you up for the challenge? 

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives

  • Conduct market research to gather information about the industry, target audience, services, and competitors;

  • Develop a messaging and positioning strategy that effectively communicates the company's value proposition;

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital and offline;

  • Develop and managing the company's branding and messaging guidelines

  • Managing the company's marketing budget and forecasting

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and product development, to align marketing efforts with overall company goals;

  • Analyze, measure and report on the success of marketing efforts, using metrics and KPIs

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the marketing strategy as appropriate;

  • Build and lead a marketing department, hiring and managing a team of marketing professionals;

  • Collaborating with external agencies and partners to develop and execute marketing campaigns

  • Provide coaching and development of talent within the organisation;

  • Promote a diverse and inclusive team environment;

  • Manage strategic partnerships with external partners;

  • Build and manage relationships with media and industry partners, including strategic partnerships with external partners.

What you bring to this role:

  • Proven track record of building and scaling a marketing department in a fast growing tech company;
  • Strong analytical skills, data driven mindset and decision making power;
  • Experience with digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and web analytics;
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing leadership in a high growth environment;
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to develop effective marketing plans and campaigns;
  • Experience in lead generation, branding and marketing automation;
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with peers, market knowledge experts, influencers, media and industry analysts;
  • Experience with B2B marketing, preferably in the HR tech, professional services and/or international talent mobility industry;
  • Experience hiring, training, coaching, and motivating marketing teams to achieve ambitious goals;
  • Highly operational, collaborative and happy to get your hands dirty, with the energy and drive to make an impact;
  • Setting and delivering on KPIs alongside presenting customer experience reports to Senior Management and Board.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing principles and best practices

Preferable (not a must)

  • Personal experience of living and/or working overseas;
  • Good understanding of the Dutch start-up ecosystem;
  • Passion for technology and interest in talent mobility;
