We are now ready to scale up our product operations and expand our presence across borders and are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join us on our mission.

Your role

In this great role, you’ll be working in our product team to help develop our mobile and desktop applications, conduct product sprints, execute on the roadmap and help shape the future of relocation .

Your daily activities are a combination of development, documentation, optimisation, project coordination, data analysis and version management.

 What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain web-based PHP applications;

• Write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code that is consistent across the applications;

• Utilise backend data services and contribute to increase existing data services API;

• Prepare and maintain all applications utilising standard development tools;

• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support;

• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues;

• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort;

• Git version management;

• Keep ahead of new trends and best practices in web development;

• Build web applications and collaborate with the UX team.

As we are a small yet rapidly growing start-up you will furthermore have the ability to get involved in all other aspects of growing a value driven start-up, so no need to worry that you’ll ever get bored.

The biggest challenge in this role? We are bootstrapped, value driven and ambitious. So we have to be lean and creative in everything we do. We want to grow fast and scale across multiple countries whilst maintaining a top notch client experience of 9 out of 10. Are you up for the challenge?

What you bring to this role: 

• Creative and efficient problem solver, always looking to learn more;
  

• In depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP and Laravel 8 PHP Framework;
  

• Strong affinity for building web applications using HTML/CSS/Javascript;
  

• Knowledge of compiled CSS languages like LESS or SASS;

• Hands on experience with MySQL schema design and RESTful API design;

• Clean and readable coding skills following SOLID principles;

• Software testing (PHPUnit);

• Previous working experience as a PHP / Laravel developer for at least 4 years;
• Previous working experience with the React front-end framework or similar.

Preferable (not a must): 

• Experience with React Native mobile application development;
  

• Strong affinity with social platforms;

• Experience living abroad.
