We are now ready to scale up our product operations and expand our presence across borders and are looking for a Director of Social Equity/ Foundation Lead to join us on our mission.

Your role

As Foundation Lead you will be employee number 1 of the Settly Foundation and it is your mission to build out a sustainable foundation that can increase the impact it has year on year. You will be responsible to create and execute the foundation impact & alignment plan, which covers matters from clarifying the mission statement, to fundraising, using and conducting research to connecting with the right people, institutes and government bodies and organising events to create awareness.

The key challenge will be to build a foundation with a big mission from the ground up with limited resources. Are you up for the challenge?

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase awareness and drive change around social equity, diversity and inclusion, cultural assimilation, integration, and sense of belonging for international migrants.

  • Build relationships and partnerships with funders, institutes, and other organisations to mobilise resources and support for the foundation's mission.

  • Manage the foundation's operations, including budgeting, fundraising, and grant-making processes.

  • Oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of grantees and projects to ensure alignment with the foundation's mission and goals.

  • Leverage research and analysis to have the foundation become a subject matter expert and to help build the foundation's messaging strategies.

  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of the foundation's activities and initiatives to ensure sustainability and longevity of the foundation.

  • Communicate the foundation's mission, impact, and achievements to stakeholders, including donors, partners, grantees, and the general public.

  • Build and manage a team of staff, volunteers, and consultants to support the foundation's work.

The biggest challenge in this role? We are bootstrapped, value driven and ambitious. So we have to be lean and creative in everything we do. We want to grow fast and scale across multiple countries whilst maintaining a top notch client experience of 9 out of 10. Are you up for the challenge?

What you bring to this role:

  • Proven track record in fundraising, grant-making, and partnership development.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate complex initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas and data to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Passion for social justice and a commitment to the foundation's mission.


Preferable (not a must)

  • Personal experience of living and/or working overseas;
  • The more languages, the better :)
